Storms and Growth

I forget that storms can bring unexpected growth. I ran across this article from a NASA site from a few years back that reported how hurricanes had brought new growth to marine plant life in areas of the ocean that had been previously considered desert areas. The article states:

If I want something bad enough I’ll pursue it. I always seem willing to rearrange my schedule to play basketball or go for a run. For each goal I have there is a gain and there is something lost. It’s a pretty simple principle. Getting up at 5:30am to play basketball is going to cost me [...]

I enjoy sermons that present a well though out argument from scripture where an illustration is used to present the main point in a tangible way that I can seem to grasp. A good illustration seems to make the point come alive to me.
My wife (Rhonda) and [...]

I have to be up front and admit that I’ve never been a fan of Joel Osteen as a teacher. I know he has a huge following but a huge following doesn’t prove that he’s a sound teacher regarding the truth. Although it does mean that people find his message and/or his style attractive.
I’m not fond of him [...]
